Yuuka, You Came And You Brought Me A Turkey
I am writing in school because I'm not sure if I'll get the chance to write later. You see it's Yuuka's going away party today and I have no idea what time I'm going to get home.
I'm excited yet sad at the same time. Yuuka is a great person. She cute, funny, enthusiastic, loveable and everything rolled into one cool girl. Yet, she must depart from our humble little island and go overseas back to her larger island, named Japan. Yuuka is leaving. As much as I don't want to face it, she is and it tears at my heart so. I made her promise me that she would e-mail me every single day, or else I'm going to go to Japan and stalk her. I have no regret to making that threat either, I would love to go to Japan. She still better e-mail me though.
Another sad part about the whole ordeal is the fact that I won't be able to see her off at the airport. She's leaving on the twenty seventh and I'm going to Florida on the twenty second or twenty third. Good thing that my zaidie has a computer there, or else I would be going crazy wondering if she got there safely and what not.
Her going away party has been the best kept secret my grade has ever known. I have no idea if Yuuka is even aware of anything going on or not, but I hope not. I'm going to Pippa's house with her after they finish their practice session. They're doing a duet for the christmas concert. (Canon in D on the violin and the cello.) It's probably going to sound amazing. Yuuka thinks that we are going to the AMC theater to go see Harry Potter again. Little does she know, our whole grade will be waiting for her in center ice with a big banner and a shitload of smiles and good wishes. I really hope it'll work out alright.
Harry Potter was an excellent movie. I really, truly enjoyed it. So much in fact that I saw it twice and am prepared to see it a third time. You may call me crazy and disturbed, but I prefer to say that it was just a goddamn good movie. The effects were spectacular and it went quite well along with the book. Although there were a few Harry Potter fans who claimed it wasn't like the book at all, I thought otherwise. Of course they missed parts in it and Peeves didn't even appear, but think of it this way, if they made it exactly like the book, word for word, then the whole movie would have been short of seven hours long. Nobody I know would want to sit through a seven hour long movie. I've heard rumours that the fourth book, if it were turned into a movie would end up being so long that there would have to be an intermission inbetween. Now that's pretty crazy.
Everything beyond this point was added at 9.55 pm after Yuuka's party.
I just returned from Pippa's house. I've never been there before and I have to say I was incredibly impressed and in awe of it. Her mother is an artist and so her works are all over the place. Alright, alright, I only saw two of her paintings, but they were quite interesting. Her whole house seems like a piece of artwork. It really was incredible. An experience in itself to say the least.
Yuuka was genuinely surprised. She had absolutely no idea what was going on. She told me she was pleasantly surprised and had a really fun time. Good, I'm really glad. She was on the brink of tears at the beginning and I realized that yes, I would really miss her. I really, really would. She's a great friend and she brings sunshine and happiness to everybody. One smile from her and everyone is bright and cheerful, it's pretty amazing. She will be missed greatly, I grant you that.
It's Rachel's birthday tomorrow. Wow, how come I'm not excited? My step-sister's having a little birthday party I think during the day and then I'm joining her, my step-mother, my father and brother to eat fine dining. That's the only good part about it. The fine dining. As you can tell probably, I don't particularily like my step-sister. She is annoying, young and incredibly immature. Even more so that any other ten year old I have met. She clings to her mother and has no sense of anything in reality. She's boring on top of that and I just .. can't stand the little girl. I really, really can't. That is why I avoid hanging around her and her little brat of a brother as much as possible.
