She Lived In Canadia.
When the soundtrack starts up, everyone is in position. Yet they never seem to know their proper lines and feel the very strong need to improvise. Although it does not seem like it, every conversation and movement is staged. The blocking has been practiced so often it is etched into the actor's brain ten fold. Why improvise then? For something difference perhaps? Possibly.
Strangely enough, the characters that we play are often very much like us. So much in fact, that we are often mistaken for our characters. Sometimes though, our characters are so different that we play them as a mask to hide our real selves. What happens inside is invisible until the camera crew decides to take a break. The brave ones are those who can wear their true selves as a mantle. Or are they the cowards? Is there such a thing as cowardice and bravery? I believe that without one there cannot be the other. Like good and evil, like dark and light. Cowardice and bravery go hand in hand. Though some believe those who are brave are cowards and those who are cowards are heroes.
It seems we are all walking contradictions. The world is but a stage and us men and women merely players.
