Mommy Wow!
Today was incredible. Wait, let me rephrase that. Afterschool, was incredible. There was another basketball game against the animal team from Weston. That same big girl that scratched me was tearing her way around the court once more, but she wasn't doing as much damage. She did make a grab for the ball when I had it and started pulling me around with it. That wasn't too fun, but other than that, the game was amazing. I actually scored a basket. I took the ball on a fast break and dribbled my way into a lay-up and actually sank the ball in cleanly! It was beautiful, if I must say so myself.
So after that magnificent basketball game in which I finally scored my first basket of the season, there was the options lecture. Options: the chosen classes that sculpt the future of one's academic career. It was pretty interesting to learn about how the math programs work and such, but I know what I want to do for next year as my options. I've known for a while now actually. To be truthful, I still have no idea what I'm planning to be when I grow up. Most of my family states that I should turn to law and I am looking into that, but aside from objecting and resting my cases I am into the arts. I like playing flute and I love to dance and I do like to sing. Drawing is all well and good too, and I'm sure I remember saying something about wanting to be a movie director. I still haven't the slightest idea though.
Another interesting thing about these option meetings is that all the parents come along. I think it's quite a learning experience in itself to see what people's parents are like. A lot of the parents' images could be mirrored in their children and I think it's hilarious to catch that. I also find it interesting to see what kind of environment all my friends live in and how they act differently when their parents are around.
