Swim To Pass Or Swim To Finish
I didn't get a chance to add anything yesterday in case you were wondering. The basketball game though can be described by only one word.
INTENSE. That's exactly what it was. It was intense, not because the other team was a perfect match to ours, but because they were like animals. Literally, I'm not joking. They didn't really understand how to play and were grabbing for the ball at every turn. They were so wild in fact that the biggest, burliest girls swiped me across the face with her nails. I thought I was going to have claw marks straight across my face, I felt it burning like the slashes of a whip. I was subbed out soon after though to find that the girl had only drawn a small nail mark of blood. I was in shock.
The rest of the game went by rather quickly with more injuries to follow mine. The large girl that clawed me fell back and landed on her head by fluke accident. I suppose 'someone' was getting her back for using her nails as a weapon in the game of basketball, but who knows really. Another one of the girls on the other team was doing her layups from the middle of the key. She would jut her knee up and soar into the air, most of the times missing the basket entirely though. One of my teammates unuckily was in the line of fire of her knee. She was winded and I could see the pain registering on her face. We were elbowed and grabbed, our arms were twisted, the other team was as vicious as you might think a basketball team could be. Another one of my teammates was elbowed in the eye. She was worried about her contact. The violence got up to the point that my team was afraid to do a man-to-man defense. We thought we were going to get seriously hurt. You've never seen anything like this girls.
The large girl, who we nicknamed Monstar, was swearing at her teammates as well and being a ball hog. That's not too good. In the end we won by a lot, as you can see by looking at the score bored. Whew. I have another basketball game in almost an hour from now. Let's hope the other team knows the rules and isn't as violent.
Later tonight I have my bronze cross practical exam. I hope I pass, I mean, it's really tough stuff to learn. It's not easy, saving people's lives. Now I know how all those super heroes feel.
